Hello, internet! My name is Joey, and I am THRILLED to bring Everyone Loves Math to you. I have created this website after two decades of work in public secondary schools.

I've taught most high school math classes in existence
Algebra 1, Algebra 1A, Algebra 1B, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus AB, Integrated Math 1-3, Math for College Readiness... and for good measure, I've also taught Student Government, Guitar, Multimedia, and Advisory.
Through this site, I am beginning to add "younger grades" of math too. I look forward to the challenge :).
I've trained a whole bunch of teachers
Over my career, I've worked with a couple of teacher-prep organizations training hundreds of novice teachers. I've trained teachers in almost every subject area, and I treasure the relationships I've formed with some pretty awesome people along the way.
I focus on deeper understanding than quick "tips and tricks"
Smart students are always asking the question "why", and I teach students to ask this question constantly. Tips and tricks may get you past the next quiz, but they rob students from understanding future math concepts (and entire courses).
I think math can be incredibly creative and fun!
Math can be learned in an intuitive, fun, and engaging way. Better yet, this leads to deeper learning!

He’s one of the most supportive and helpful teachers. He doesn’t do what a lot of teachers do and make you figure it out on your own he will personally take time to sit with you and help you understand it and doesn’t get annoyed or bothered if it takes you a bit to understand. 10/10 recommend.
